This book may be downloaded upon our Canvas platform, and if we are to go back to distance learning, this would allow those students to access the read. Additionally, those students who receive special services may be able to access the audible version as well.
From OUR "marketing" project, poetry rumble, vocabulary and journaling detailing, interest and looks from the 60's, to creation of life size character posters, to the final day of celebration of whether you have drawn a Soc or a Greaser to represent, each step is magical! Each project combines the state standards and application needs within English for Oklahoma 8th graders. The lessons planned around this read doesn't have the consistency of a normal book review. We encompass more by understanding the emotions and conflicts, we even dress the part spewing poetry about conflict between the recognized classes of teenagers at this time! These lessons involve the senses, and creates the very best "do you remember The Outsiders in the 8th grade?"
conversation!!! This creation of a wonderful memory is what I am wishing to assist students with the experience which this classic read provides.
