The materials and supplies will help provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for my students. They have been transitioning back to in-class learning for the past year and need a safe and comfortable space. The multi-head lamp will allow softer lighting in the room, where students can socially distance and still participate in daily activities. The Woodstock Chime will help me bring some order and structure to the classroom in a calming and inviting way. Also, the class relies heavily on technology. The portable charging stations and power cords allow students to use their technology continually throughout the day. The office supplies (pencils, whiteboard erasers, and poster post-its) give students much-needed tools to participate without worrying about cross-contamination. The Eggspert wireless buttons will enable students to collaborate while maintaining healthy social distancing practices. These instructional technologies will be properly sanitized for frequent use.
COVID-19 has significantly inhibited social and emotional learning among students, and these donations will help boost student interactions in healthy ways.
Students want to be in school and form friendships with peers and teachers. These requested materials will aid in facilitating those relationships. I have noticed when my students are engaged they are more inclined to learn. Having students learn from each other is equally valuable - these materials will help with this. My students have shown that when they are engaged and collaborating together they excel and surpass expectations.
