I need more hands-on materials and safety equipment to help my students understand and grasp concepts in science. By having more hands on materials, they can learn more efficiently during the time we have in the classroom together.
For example, the rock samples will allow them to hold and feel each type of rock, thus helping them to remember the difference. It is much harder for the students to understand this and many other concepts just by looking at a picture of it. The other supplies will also help them to grasp concepts and commit them to memory easier than if they were just looking at a picture.
