Not every kid has technology. Some that are stuck at home fall behind and I don't like that. I want them all to express themselves in a way that builds their self-confidence. All of my students love to demonstrate their understanding of concepts in science in so many ways. I love to let them. The more they are allowed to use their personal interests, the more I have seen personal investment, lifelong learning, and expanding of gifts and talents in other areas that will help them be assets to whatever profession they are in. Go-Pro video cameras are a great opportunity to take home for students sick and not wanting to fall behind, it is compact and easy to move around the school and other areas to show science in action!! This is so fun for them and me as i can watch them extending their understanding of a science topic beyond my expectations. They get so invested in the material, from cells to natural selection. It solidifies the material and gives them better skills for life. They work so well together with things that speak to them, so I would be grateful to have extra help to make this possible.
