Flexible seating will allow my students to take ownership of their learning, by having the freedom and comfort to move around the room and choose where they complete their work. This helps keep students motivated and they complete more work independently. My students make great choices when they are able to chose where they sit whether it is at a desk, table, or on the floor. Giving students the power to chose also gives them ownership of their learning.
Giving students a choice has had a positive impact on their learning and I hope that providing more options will help students to continue to grow and take ownership. This project will provide the additional seating options that we need to continue to learn as well as provide comfort and build community, communication and collaboration skills.
Flexible seating keeps my students engaged, motivated and less disruptive through out the day.
