It's the time of year when the art materials need replenishing, but I also noticed that I don't have a variety of materials and mediums. I'd like to provide some designated time for art with some guided projects but also allow students to make their own.
With this group of students having most of their education through Zoom, I want to provide them with art materials they can fine-tune their motor skills but also let their minds create unique artwork they can be proud of. I have childhood memories of fun artwork I created, and I'd like to offer my students similar experiences.
The broad markers would be used daily for making graphic organizers and general things. The tempera sticks will help students make monthly artwork that goes into their memory books. The liquid tempera I would use to put on shaving cream as a different medium to draw out letters, do math, and more. The mist spray will be used to add special effects when using the liquid tempera. The colors of the world markers will allow students to select colors that represent themselves in this diverse world. The googly eyes are a fun way for the students to add faces to their artwork.
