My students are attentive and eager to learn and have the potential to make progress towards attaining their speech and language goals given high quality, data-driven therapy. Covid -19 took away the opportunity for a great deal of my students to practice communicating with other same age peers in the classroom. They are now behind in this vital skill.
By donating to this project, you will be fostering my students' development in communication and comprehension.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will offer them a fun and engaging speech therapy experience. I want the precious moments they spend with me to help them use their communication skills in the classroom and the community. Several of the materials I'm requesting will engage my students in new and unique ways while other materials are based on classroom material. For example, by teaching my students about the books they'll be using soon in the classroom will give them the vocabulary, the context, and the confidence to participate more in classroom conversations and lessons. We can use books to practice speech sounds, prepositions, compare and contrast skills, prediction skills, figurative language, and so much more!
