Between poor air quality, inclement weather, and safety precautions inside recess happens more often than one might think. Whenever we have inside recess students dread it! COVID-19 has also caused students to have more anxiety than normal. When we have inside recess it causes more stress for students. These indoor recess supplies will provide experiences during inside recess for students to problem-solve, thus strengthening their minds and relieving stress. They will provide my students with engaging activities and tools to use when we are not able to go outside. By providing more activities during inside recess, all of my learners will have opportunities to challenge themselves. Students will be able to try new things and experiment with various different tools (such as the marble run, obstacle course, and other building and problem-solving activities) in an environment where they don't have to be afraid of failure.
These supplies will provide opportunities for students to engineer, build, problem-solve, and communicate.
The language translator will support my students who do not speak English. It provides 40 language translations and 93 accents. This will allow my English Language Learners to understand what I am teaching in their native language. Having this device will give my students the ability to communicate, participate, understand and be engaged academically and socially. This language translator will help English Language Learners emotionally, by giving them the access they need to communicate their needs and emotions. This is especially helpful when talking with peers and making new friends during both inside and outside recess times.
