Instead of traditional testing assessments, these materials will allow my students to be assessed through a number of artistic assessments over the course of an entire year. Each of the materials will allow my students to take control over their learning and use expressive art to prove that they have mastery over our content. I do a number of these projects during the course of a year and students really enjoy them. For example: WWII Timeline, Cold War Alphabet Vocab, Civil Rights "I Have A Dream" Imagery, etc. As a teacher, it is rewarding to see students be creative and demonstrate their knowledge in an abstract way.

About my class
