Kindergarten is the foundation for a student's education. In kindergarten students learn to read and write through phonological awareness and phonics. I want students to be engaged in their learning and not be given paper and pencil activities. I want to provide them with different styles of learning that are fun and they are excited to use.
In math I want them to have as many hands-on activities as possible. The more experiences they have touching and feeling geometric shapes, the more understanding they'll have about shapes and how they look in our world.
