To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use more hands on activities and games for my students to use everyday. My students love to learn through games and play and I would love to provide them with more opportunities. My students need opportunities to practice independently and games such as Learning Resources Smart Snack Alpha Pops and Learning Resources Smart Snacks number pops and Raeqks Counting Dinosaur Matching Games with Sorting bowls would provide them opportunities to practice Math skills independently in class. . Other independent activities that my students would love and benefit from is the Magnetic Wooden Fishing game and Gamenote Magnetic Alphabet maze board, where students can practice their phonic skills. My students work really hard everyday with letter sounds and making words and would love Gamenote Classroom Magnetic Alphabet letters to use during our small group instruction and independent work.
Another skill that we work on daily in class is self regulation. I would love to provide more things for my students to use to help with this skill. Sensory toys can help students when they may be struggling in this area. Sensory water beads and Zaxideel sensory stress ball and bean bag set are objects that students can fidget with if needed without disrupting class.
Your donations will also equip my students with other items that will help them with other daily skills that we work on. Baby dolls for our home center, cooking items for our kitchen, and art supplies will be used to help daily life skills and help them learn through their center play. Albert Einstein once said that “Play is the highest form of Research” and I think that is a wonderful way to let students learn.
