The toys and activities will be used by my early intervention students. Each toy will be used to work on requesting, turn taking, attending, and social interactions. The book is for parents and describes the early signs of autism and how it impacts communication, social, and other areas of development. The toys and books will be a starting place for families that are concerned about possible autism and other developmental delays. Each family will receive a kit with the book and some of the toys. During our home visits, I will coach the family on ways to use the materials and particular sections of the book that will help increase their knowledge of development and autism.
