As Mr. Rogers said, 鈥淔or children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.鈥 Many of us realize that our students have (understandably) had to be assigned so many online assignments during this pandemic. Our community's young people have missed out on connecting with others and PLAYING during this time. And, as many of us know, learning another language can be difficult. I like to create opportunities in my classroom for my students to use the language in ways that lower the stress level, but engage every student. These resources would help my students make connections with their classmates! They would love to use the whiteboards and Expo markers, the index cards, pattern blocks, plastic folders and magnetic tape to create games to work WITH partners and in small groups!
Now that my school is back to in-person learning, I want to create as many hands-on activities as possible to help them learn the Spanish language and culture while CONNECTING with others! If my project is chosen, my students will be thrilled to use these new resources to help make learning another language more fun and less stressful.
Thank you for considering my requests!
