Kindergarteners need headphones for testing, listening, and learning. During testing, it is helpful when students are able to listen to the prompts and have questions read to them. This becomes a challenge when our class only has 5-6 headphones to share. As language learners, having these tools improves their comprehension of each question, especially in a language learning community!
We use iPads to listen to books or to play fact fluency games. Headphones allow for students to listen to books online. If each student had their own set of headphones, they could listen to read-aloud stories every day! This will aid their literacy skills.
Lastly, we need individual whiteboards. This will help my kindergarteners to practice during math time and use the lines to work on their letter formation. These are necessities I am asking for to benefit my students' learning.
