To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use additional calculators for the classroom and for students to check out to use at home. Furthermore, I teach math and most of our work is pencils, paper, and glue sticks to show the steps for the concepts. With parents, not all working, funding for their students in my classroom makes things harder for the students to be successful.
To make an upcoming unit more engaging, my students would love to have the calculators to borrow at home so they may work on their projects for our classrooms outside of school. Calculators allow students to focus more on concepts being taught and not being held up by the arithmetic and the paper allows them to record their process.
To bring my dream learning activity to life I would love to get more calculators and along with that batteries and glue sticks for projects in class and to borrow for home and finally, paper for the students to be successful in showing their understanding of the math concepts taught in class.
