My students have really enjoyed literature this year in the classroom. I have a variety of printable literature that they can own and keep for themselves. They especially love when they can mark up this reading material. They like to highlight special words, underline adjectives, and circle words they don't know. They love to be able to write in the margins with thoughts or questions. This has really helped with their reading comprehension. My students love to dive into literacy and have the freedom to mark up printable literature so they can learn from their own reading - creating some colorful literacy.
