We all know that these last few years in education have not been easy, to say the least. Students today are learning to be flexible and understand that their learning environment can change on a dime.
First grade students in today's world need to be well equipped to learn virtually and be experts in the area of using chromebooks to help them learn online. First grade students are expected to log in to a Chromebook while at school and at home on their own. They are learning to use padlets to type responses to teaching videos, they are able to click through PowerPoint presentations on a Chromebook and even create reports using a Chromebook.
As a teacher we are using technology in our classrooms more and more at a young age so that when we switch to virtual learning at a moment’s notice our students are educated and prepared to learn online.
This Chromebook charging station will help our classroom be able to charge and store our Chromebooks safely and neatly. First graders are hard on materials and they need a designated area to charge and store devices so that they are kept in good condition. Students use these Chromebooks daily in the classroom and take them home when we switch to virtual learning due to the pandemic.
