The materials listed will provide hands-on learning for students in the classroom. All students in the classroom will be able to engage in the learning materials despite cultural backgrounds, learning difficulties, age, or gender. The materials provide all students an opportunity to come together and engage in peer-to-peer learning and exploration of the scientific process with the classroom. Research shows that in young children, the peer-to-peer conversation is the best way to develop oral language.
Through the use of the listed materials, students will develop skills such as oral language and scientific process. Students will be practice skills learned in the classroom at home which will extend the learning. At home learning will include identifying shadows, numbers, letters, engaging in STEM learning of building, and practicing the oral language skills.
