The world around us is an incredible place to learn. There are so many things to explore and wonder in just taking a closer look at nature. Young minds need time to go outside, interact, and ask questions about our earth.
Through this project, I hope to give my students different ways in which to see their world. The different lenses will offer a closer look than what students can see with their own eyes. Our lessons while looking closer at our world will: give students respect for nature and its inhabitants, offer students hands-on and sensory experience while interacting with nature, and open up minds to inquiry and questioning which will engage further learning and discovery.
Virtual learning has been necessary during this pandemic, and technology plays a growing role in our lives, but there is great importance to step away from screens for a time and see what our earth has to teach us.
