With limited school district resources and support, I have requested particular book titles that promotes positive self-esteem and self-confidence. Students will be able to create their personal stories about a moment in their childhood that they struggled and how they rose above it. In addition, science and math materials that will help build my students' abilities to become problem solvers and foster social and emotional learning skills.
The carpet will represent that in our classroom, we are "ONE". This carpet will serve as a "safe place" where students can regroup, or use a personal space and meet for class time and read a loud. These resources will help create and build a classroom that many of students will be proud of and have a strong sense of belonging.
By donating to our project, my students will have the resources and materials from pencil sharpeners , reading books to math and science learning kits that will assist students with writing projects, and reading materials that will encourage all learners to learn with a open mind and purpose.
