Microscopes can help us see things that we cannot see with our own visible eyes. So many careers in science use microscopes, such as forensic scientists, jewelers, environmental and geoscientists, and some engineers.
Microscopes are wonderful educational tools because they offer students hands-on experiences that bring textbook concepts to life. Our textbooks are online. Anything these kids can do that is not on their chromebooks is valuable to our learning environment. It would also be interesting to look at viruses and bacteria under a microscope so they can see what wreaked havoc on our world and why hand washing is important. Covid-19 has created even more "tablet zombies." I am all about hands-on learning.
