Due to Covid-19, many of my students are significantly behind academically. I am creating a "Choice Learning Center" that will allow my students to select the activity they will use to help them learn the assigned remediation skill. My goal is to provide a significantly large number of learning choices. The sandwich baggies and multiple organization drawers will help store and organize these activities. The crayons, colored pencils, and pencil sharpeners will help them complete the activities. The fruit pillow chairs will provide a comfortable space for them to do these activities. The snacks will ensure that the students' stomachs are full and they can work without the feeling of hunger. The paper trimmer will be used by me to help me prep all of the activities that will be available to the students. Many of the activities require being cut out, laminated, and then cut out again.
Because of 3rd grade retention laws, it is to the upmost importance that the gaps created by Covid-19, poverty and all its accompanying social issues, be acknowledged and filled in order for my students to be academically successful.
Thank you for helping me help my students be the best they can be.
