I am outfitting my classroom with manipulatives to assist the students in making progress to grasp concepts in their general education curriculums. Most of these will be for math. Many of the children have ADHD as well. The creative seating, and the chairs will assist them to have movement, but still be able to lean. The math manipulatives will give them the ability to construct the concepts such as multiplication. Also, the manipulatives will assist in breaking down word problems into tangible problems with solutions. These materials will be used in the Level 1 Special Education Classroom at my school of which I am the teacher.
