To help my students make academic gains and enjoy school despite the challenges presented by COVID-19 and virtual learning, I could use a class set of headphones. In order to meet the needs of all of my students, despite their large learning gaps, we do small groups and rotations. A nice pair of headphones for each student would go a long way in increasing student productivity when working on self-paced learning programs in their rotations. I would also like some flexible seating for my students. Flexible seating would be a treat and incentive for students as they make their rotations to different learning centers. On top of being something that sparks joy, I feel these flexible seating options will help meet some sensory needs for my second graders.
