Pre-K students learn best through engaging in sensory play, STEM activities, and real life experiences. Many of my students have been denied these authentic early childhood play opportunities due to school closures and social-distancing related to Covid-19.
This light table will give my students an authentic hands-on, purposeful play experience in the classroom.
It will give them opportunities to explore academics such as: sorting, geometry, stem, and fine motor skills. The opportunities to learn through these hands on experiences are endless. Not only will it benefit my students academically, but it will benefit them social emotionally as they learn to work together and share, which is a crucial skill set for all early childhood students to develop.
