These are a few things I have realized after my first semester of teaching that I am in need of! Flexible seating is my first one. We do not have flexible seating in classrooms, so it is important for me to try and get some seating for my kiddos. I also included some math fact games. In first grade at our district, we do math fluency assessments, so these games will be a great way to practice our math facts! Also included is a STEM bin item. We work with morning tubs every morning for a slow start, so it is important I keep the items new and exciting. Lastly, the rest are essentials I realized I need but cannot fund myself as a first year. Book bins are so important to hold both leveled books and dream books! These will all impact student learning in different ways, but it will all be so positive and keep their excitement for learning alive!
