I asked for a printer, ink, and new books for my classroom because Covid forced us to stay at home and learn virtually. While my students were learning virtually, they began to separate in their growth and development from each other in both reading and math. Virtual learning caused gaps in their reading skills and has caused a need for extra reading materials in my classroom.
Now that we are back to in-person learning, everyone is on their own individual reading level, so it is very important that each student is exposed to as much reading materials as possible. My students need these materials, in the classroom, in order to get enough exposure to reading and enough materials into each student's hands. This printer will allow me to make enough copies of smaller reading passages which will allow my students to have an opportunity to move through the lower level reading skills more quickly. Which in turn it will also give them access to a wider range of reading levels.
