I am requesting a color printer and ink, markers, crayons, card stock and more. These materials will help my students to create designs for their reading, and writing. Despite the pandemic, they will be able to take these books home and practice and learn whether we are in school or not. The books will be theirs to keep. The printer will be used and needed to help create books for students to use at home or during distance learning. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy and I want them to enjoy this same literate environment at home. I want them to have a love for reading. I want my students to have a positive creative outlet to explore their artistic skills. At my current school, we don't have an art program. The materials - pencils, markers, paint, gel pens, etc - will be used throughout the school year in my classroom for various different projects, daily activities, and to create books. Due to the pandemic, having materials donated has been hard to come by for my students, these donations would impact us is our daily classroom activities.
