The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will help to bridge the gaps that have been caused by pandemic learning. My first graders have never had a "normal" school year due to Covid-19. With all of the disruptions in their schooling so far, they are still trying to learn how to play fairly, take turns, as well as learn the expected first grade objectives.
These games will help them to not only learn, but also practice social and emotional skills that they have missed out on due to Covid-19. My students love to play games and I love games because they don't realize that they are learning! Centers are an integral part of learning in first grade. These games and activities will be used during our math and reading centers daily. The students will benefit from practicing various academic skills, taking turns, communicating with others and problem solving.
My students love playing games and these activities will enhance their learning daily in my classroom. Thank you in advance!
