This project will help advance my students' overall learning by providing activities that encourage high-level thinking skills. Students will brainstorm, explore, design, tinker, and create. Students can be innovative as they solve real-world problems. They are able to experience failure, troubleshoot, and try again. This will bolster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will collaborate with their peers as they complete their creations. The collaboration will encourage communication, literacy, social, and technology skills. Students are more engaged when they are able to take ownership of their learning. Hands-on activities, including the Kinetic Domino Toppling Kits, Marble Runs, and Connecting Tubes, promote this ownership.
