"Doing to Learn" is a fundamental component of the Future Farmers of America organization (FFA). Agriculture is a fundamental component of our life. Whether you know it or not you are a part of agriculture. With this hydroponic system, my student will have the opportunity to take part in the hands-on experience of agriculture. They will be able to grow something from the ground and take ownership of their project. Not only will the plants grown from this system provide learning but also opportunity to serve. Tillman County is one of the most poverty-stricken communities in Oklahoma. This leads many students at our school to be food insecure. Providing healthy foods from this system, will not only help our students but our community as well.
