Being a first year teacher, I'm limited in resources this year. My kids deserve all I can offer, having struggled the last few years with COVID related illnesses, loss of loved ones, and changes in their educational growth. My students are already at a disadvantage due to economic position, educational gaps, and/or lack social and emotional maturity because of continued quarantining. Learning through movement will help my kids build a stronger connection to the curriculum as most of them are kinesthetic learners. My charter school is a place where children go who have been unsuccessful in traditional brick-and-mortar schools. We take these kiddos where they are in life and nurture them, love them, and help guide them to a love of learning. We understand not all kids learn in the same fashion, so we encourage different methods to reach the student mind. Many of these little ones light up at the chance to move, squirm, and learn!
