When students are given choices and are comfortable in the classroom they become more motivated to learn. When working independently some students work well setting at a standard chair and desk while others struggle. They might do their best learning setting on the floor, bouncing on a ball, or wiggling on a stool. Giving them options allows them to find what works best for them.
By allowing students to find what seating works for them they are more engaged in learning, comfortable, and less distracting to their peers. I think the products that I have chosen will allow my students a wide range of things that can work for them. Whether they need to wiggle it out, bounce it out, or try setting at a higher level.
I believe that through the pandemic students have juggled both in person learning and distancing learning from home. Because of this student have struggled as we get back to in person learning. By allowing them something as simple as choosing their own seat will let them to be more comfortable in the classroom. It will also help improve student engagement and learning.
