Having a classroom library will allow students to expand their knowledge by reading books at their specific reading level. This will also allow them to practice reading books that have the specific phonics rules we are learning. Also when students are out for Covid I will be able to send multiple books home with them that are at their reading level. Sometimes students are out sick for over 2 weeks so they need to be able to practice reading. Most of the students in our community do not have many books at home. Having my own library of books allows me to let them take as many as they need when they can't be at school to read them.
