I am a Intellectual Disabilities Teacher for Students who also have Autism Spectrum Disorder, Visual Impairments, and are d/Deaf.
In my classroom, we work on academics as well as building language and communication skills. Many of my students come into my classroom with very little communication skills and through daily instruction and intensive interventions, they learn how to communicate their wants and needs with others.
By donating to one of my Donors Choose projects, you are helping me to bridge the language and communication gaps that exist within my classroom. Many of my students come from lower income families and most of the students at my school receive both breakfast and lunch at no charge. Being able to bring the materials that have been donated has been such a blessing for myself, my paraprofessionals, my ASL Interpreters, and my students.
Thank you in advance for your support of our classroom!
