Our pre-kindergarten classroom is all about multisensory learning. LEGO building blocks are a great learning tool for students because we can create shapes and letters; we can conduct experiments about which type of structure can be built tallest; we can build using only certain colors or only certain shapes; we can use blocks to create communities, zoos, and farms. We can create multiple different learning scenarios and each one incorporates fine motor skills, social skills, and language arts.
In my experience, early childhood education is best described as learning through play. This set of LEGO blocks and the play table will help me create many new and exciting learning experiences for my students.
