In the wake of the recent pandemic, one of the most significant impacts has been on the lack of hands-on learning taking place in the classroom. In order to create more opportunities for this type of learning, I am requesting to receive funds to buy multiple dissection specimens for our anatomy and physiology classes. Specimens would be mostly organs, such as hearts and eyeballs.
These specimens would give students opportunities to hold real organs and be able to see and feel real structures that they would otherwise not be able to possibly ever touch. This would greatly increase enthusiasm for learning the material and help get kids excited about being at school.
