The interruptions in in-person learning during the COVID-19 have had a negative impact on my special education students. These special needs students have challenges to overcome as far as their learning, and do best with in-person instruction. My 1st-3rd grade students are in need of a lot of remediation to help provide mastery of basic skills in the areas of Reading and Math. I plan on using the materials I have chosen to stimulate learning during small-group instruction, and provide hands on activities to reinforce concepts I have taught in a fun and engaging way.
