As our family and consumer science program has been recently reinstated and not yet funded, the desire for this project is to add innovative kitchen equipment that students can utilize in and outside of the classroom. The overall objective of this course is to teach basic life skills that each and every student needs, such as cooking. Due to the financial and emotional stress caused by COVID-19, many students are now more than ever expected to contribute to the household to lighten their parents' burden.
The desired outcome for students is to learn how to cook with Instant Pots, air fryers, and griddles then use that knowledge to be able to cook at home for their families. The purchase of these innovative fryers and griddles will greatly enhance the learning experience of the students within the program. Current technology will promote interest in our cooking labs and better prepare the students for real life.
