With being at home on-and-off for the last two years, students have missed out on valuable learning opportunities. It is well-known among the teaching profession that students learn best with a hand-on approach that they can also relate to their own lives. Circuits are something that our students are surrounded by on a day-to-day basis. However, when students see just a picture of a circuit with a power source, multiple wires, & switches, it is easy to get overwhelmed and hinder retaining that knowledge. That's all we can offer them when they are at home. Just a picture. Perhaps a video. But this opportunity will allow my students to actually experience putting together a real circuit that uses electricity and see how simple they really are!
