I want my students to get a wide range of learning through hands-on experiences within my classroom. One way to give them this experience is to include a listening center. Watching my students get excited when a story comes to life, is one of the most rewarding things about teaching them. Having a comfortable listening center will help them to experience the joy of reading and listening to the stories for themselves.
Students will be able to get an enriched learning experience by using various manipulatives and learning tools throughout the classroom. By purchasing these tools, I can increase the different ways I am able to provide the type of learning my Kindergarteners deserve. Exploring the world through different kinds of tools and manipulatives helps to cement ideas and concepts into their minds. This includes through dramatic play where, if provided the table on the list, can work out different scenarios that build on their social-emotional well being as well as using concrete ideas from math, language, and social studies.
