I teach a CareerTech class which is unfunded. I am looking for ways to purchase equipment my students can learn to use. Drones are becoming very popular in many industries, such as agriculture, insurance, construction, delivery, filmmaking, and mining. I am interested in teaching students hands-on skills that will help them become more employable, more career-ready. Technology is not going away; students need to be well-equipped and be knowledgeable in multiple areas. In our pandemic world, students need to learn skills they can do remotely; drones meet this definition. My students would love getting outdoors and learning to use the latest technology. We could also use the cameras on the drones to provide a service to others...specifically, a business in our community or just a school group needing outdoor images/videos.
