n the chaos pushed on our students by the pandemic, school is a source of stability and inspiration. While older students have learning gaps and a developed apathy for learning, my young students are still coming to school eager to learn and explore and are ready to be challenged. Help me preserve and feed that enthusiasm for learning and push these young learners to their full potential.
With a Light Table Math Center, my enthusiastic students will work on their math skills as they create patterns, sort, and count manipulatives into trays. Students will have the opportunity to build unique creations with the manipulatives. They will grow their inquisitiveness and curiosity while playing and learning on the light table. My students will be able to interact with peers while using social, problem-solving, creative, and investigative skills. This type of learning is necessary for students that learn kinesthetically.
Because my students are so eager to learn and push the limits of what they know, my classroom centers encourage my students to think beyond the box. A Light Table, which can be used as a math center or incorporated for other learning, provides students with this multi-sensory approach to learning that is fun and engaging. I am eager to see the student growth resulting from my students receiving the opportunity to learn with a Light Table Center.
