My students will build confidence in their math and reading skills by playing games and using manipulatives to enhance their knowledge in math and reading. They will also build teamwork skills as they use these materials. When students are moving and using tactile learning materials it helps for them to retain what they have learned.
Having a variety of methods to teach the students helps them to understand that there is more than one way to learn. They also get the chance to help other students learn in a fun way. We needed Language games such as Vocabulary Match ups, Splash Reading Games, Playstix, Touch Read and Magnetic Sentence Strips. These will be used in small group projects with Language, such as center differentiation and intervention. We were also in need of math games to help with extra center enrichment. The brick building STEM, magnetic wand set, dominoes, big tape measure, jumbo magnetic tape measure, Rekenreks, splash addition games and the stack match magnet ring will help with this.
The paper trays and floor seating will help a great deal in keeping us organized as we use these materials for our language and math centers. Thank you for considering helping us enrich our small group projects!
