The school has purchased a digital whiteboard for my classroom. I use it on a daily basis for each subject I teach. The document camera I have is old and not compatible with my board. I currently use my phone to take pictures of passages, documents, worksheets, etc., and then project them to my board.
The pandemic has brought to the forefront how important of a tool technology is for our classroom. My students and I would love a new document camera for our classroom. I believe it is a great tool to reach all students, those at, above, and especially students below level. As I mentioned before, I use my whiteboard daily. One thing my students love doing is task cards. I project them and they use their dry erase boards to answer. The dry erase boards my students use are ones that I purchased personally nine years ago. Needless to say, they are very worn and not in good shape. I need a new class set of dry erase boards. Both of these items would be very beneficial if the need for virtual learning should arise.
