Creativity is important in the learning process for children. The Covid19 Pandemic has caused stress and anxiety among children. I believe that expression through art is calming and can help give students some relief. I have chosen some wonderful art materials that will help my students by giving them more resources to create meaningful art projects. Oil pastels will add a greater depth to their projects. Using markers, crayons and paint will give contrast and foster creativity. Along with 2nd grade I also teach a middle school art class. I feel that I need more resources to reach this set of students and meet their needs. The materials that I have chosen will be of great benefit for both sets of students.
