This project will allow my students a hands on experience by observing the life cycle of butterflies. My students will get to feed and watch the larvae grow into a caterpillar. Then they will get to observe the metamorphosis from caterpillar to chrysalis. Next, the students will patiently wait to watch their chrysalis transform into a painted lady butterfly. Lastly, we will release the majority of the butterflies into nature. But we will keep a few butterflies in a habitat in our class for further observations. The students will be so excited to see this transformation.
