Students are able to learn in a variety of manners other than industrial style desks in rows. I want to foster that ability in my English class for group collaboration as well as additional options for work individually. Having a varying choice for learning and doing classwork from standing sitting in regular desks or tables to sitting on the floor with yoga mats will allow for student creativity and work to flourish. Currently I have students who choose to sit on a hard floor or stand and bend over to do work which can not be very comfortable or conductive to working.
