In my Special Education classroom, we like to think outside the box when it comes to learning and mastering concepts. I like to use colorful manipulatives, games, and hands-on activities as much as possible. If given the option of a worksheet or a fun activity over the same concept, my students will always pick an activity. What they do not realize is, they are still learning the same skill. They simply think they are having fun at school. Many of my students struggle with math and reading. Helping my students bridge the gap in their learning is my goal. The use of hands-on math and reading activities help my students master the concept. A classroom environment based on inclusiveness, growth, and positivity is what I strive to bring my students. By receiving the items on my wishlist, I will be able bring many more hands-on and exciting learning opportunities to them!
