Being able to make a physical or visual model of a math concept is extremely helpful for my students. Having supplies available such as play-doh, cardstock, sharpies, calculators, scissors, certain types of candy... is very helpful in creating graphs and 3-D versions of shapes so that students can see the math applied.
COVID has affected the finances of a lot of families which makes it hard for students to contribute supplies to the projects that I would like to do in my classroom. With the resources from this project, I will have the necessary supplies so that my students can learn and explore upper level math without having to worry about where the supplies will come from.
